Itziar Castro

Itziar Castro (Barcelona, 1977) of Basque name and Galician origin, has worked with directors such as Paco Plaza, Pablo Berger and Álex de la Iglesia. He has made films, television, theater, burlesque or cabaret, and has sung for Susan Sarandon and Gloria Gaynor, among others.

Last year, she won the best actress award for “Matar a Dios” in the Low Budget Films category of the Calella Film Festival. In 2017 she received the Best Actress Award at the Horror Film Festival of Buenos Aires also for “Matar a Dios” (Audience Award Sitges 2017).

She was one of the nominees for the Goya of 2018 as best revelation actress for her role in “Pieles”. He has participated in the hit series “Vis a Vis”. Itziar Castro is a total artist: a great defender of women and diversity.
