Carol López
Graduate in Playwriting and Stage Direction from the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona.
She collaborates as a teacher at ESCAC (Escuela Superior de Cine y Audiovisual de Cataluña) and has taught several courses at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, the Obrador de la Sala Beckett and also in Bogotá and Caracas. She has been the Director of the XI Laboratorio de Escritura Teatral organised by the Fundación SGAE in its last edition.
She was Artistic Director of the Villarroel for three seasons.
She has written and directed, among others, Bonus Track, Familia (Im) posible, Nada volverá a ser como antes, Sunday morning, Hermanas, Boulevard, 987 días, Last Chance and V.O.S. (original version with subtitles).
He has premiered in Barcelona, Madrid, Mérida, Mexico and Argentina.
He has written and directed the TV adaptations of Germanes and Res no volverá a ser como antes, broadcast by TV3 and nominated for the Gaudí Awards.
He has also directed several texts by other authors such as Fernán Gómez, Daulte, Szpunberg, Preblle and Sàrrias, among others.
She has won several awards for her plays: MAX for authorship in Catalan (Hermanas and El año que viene será mejor), Critics’ Prize for best direction (Hermanas), Butaca Awards for best show and text (Hermanas) and direction and small-format show (V.O.S.), the Torrejón de Ardoz Award for best direction and show (Hermanas) and Maria Teresa de León Award for female playwrights (Susie).
