María Rodríguez

Catalan film and television actress. Graduated in drama at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, she took several courses at the Col-legi del Teatre, the Escola Timbal and the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu.

He began to play in 2003 with Toni Carrizosa’s Las niñas tontas no juegan solas and in 2006 with Marc Artigau’s Un quart de quatre de matinada. Since 2012, he has alternated his theatre career with television, making his debut in the TV3 series Kubala, Moreno i Manchón and in the film Animals by Marçal Forés. In television she has worked mainly in TV3 series, although she has also appeared in small roles in successful Spanish series such as El tiempo entre costuras and El ministerio del tiempo, in which she plays Enriqueta Martí.

In 2019 she shot Els dies que vindran ( 2019), a role with which she won the Gaudí Award for Best Actress in 2020, the Silver Biznaga Award for Best Actress at the Màlaga Festival in 2019, and the Award for Best Actress at the Spanish Film Festival in Tolosa.

She has recently shot the films Mamífera and Casa en flames.
